Guest List Party @ The Jane Hotel

Last night was so FFC! Thanks to Guest of a Guest, I attended their 2012 NYC Innovators Guest List Party at The Jane Hotel. This was my first time going to The Jane Hotel which is located in the Meatpacking District, and I loved it. I have heard about the Jane before, but it definitely went above and beyond my expectations. The event took place within the ballroom which gave such a luxurious antique feel. There was a giant fireplace in the middle of the back wall, which had a rather large stuffed animal on it's mantel. All of the couches and chairs did not match in their color scheme but they were all made of vibrant colors and soft velvet fabrics. It gave off the perfect vibe for this party. The guests were sipping on Svedka and Heineken all night long as they grooved to the music.

To see photos from the event that were taken by the lovely, Wendy Ploger, look at this link here: http://guestofaguest.com/new-york/galleries/2012/december/2012-nyc-innovators-guest-list-party-sponsored-by-heineken/. See if you can spot me and my fabulous plus 1!

I look forward to going to The Jane Hotel sometime again in the future!

XO,

FunSized

Quarantine Night time Skin Care Routine

Throughout this time in quarantine, I really have made a conscious effort to take care of my skin. I think this is the best it has looked in a really long time, partly because of how I've been keeping up with this nightly routine.  So here is the quick video version of it and then I'm going to go into detail of what exactly I am doing... If I'm wearing make-up, I first use Biore's Charcoal Cleansing Micellar Water to take off my make-up, or at least the majority of it. Now even though, it says on the bottle you can use this without rinsing it off, I feel like it still leaves a film which is why I go to wash my face with soap afterwards.  To wash my face, I vary between different gentle cleansers but for this video I used Lancome's Miel-en-Mousse Foaming Face Wash, which smells incredible! Washing my face after removing my make up, helps make sure there is no remaining residue of make up on my skin before I continue with my routine. After washing my face, I ...

Fun New Fitness App!

Thanks to InStyle Magazine , I found out about this great new Fitness App called ' Teemo .' It's a free app you can get from iTunes that I recommend you get right this second! For someone like me, who needs discipline while working out, this app is perfect for you. You get an at-home trainer, a challenge, and a work-out all on your phone! What's better than that? ...Well I could name a few but let's focus on the app for right now! Teemo makes it fun for you to exercise! I've recently read multiple health articles that say the best kind of work outs are ones of short quick intervals that combine strength training, cardio and are bound to make you sweat! Teemo does all of those things and they make it a game too! Depending on which challenge you choose, after you complete about 5 exercises they reward you with an item related to the challenge you are on. The challenges vary from a 'Desert Dash' to 'Climb Everest.' Each challenge involves differen...

Everybody Needs to be Compensated Properly, Equitably, & Above Board

image from @evanrosskatz instagram Amanda Seyfried said it best “Everybody needs to be compensated for their work. That’s f*cking easy.” She said this in reference to the recent WGA strikes happening in Hollywood. However, I would like to take her quote and apply it to what I’ve noticed the issues are with how the entertainment industry is ran here in Florida.   After working in the entertainment industry for over 10 years in New York City, I expected some things to be handled differently in Florida but not to the extent that I have witnessed. The biggest issue here is that people are, simply, not compensated for their work.   Let’s start off with, how Florida does not see the value in models. Business owners believe that if they provide you with a free item from, let’s say their restaurant, so a cocktail, that’s enough compensation to use your likeness and image in perpetuity on all mediums and formats. This is so wrong. Modeling is a profession and it should be treated as su...
